After giving it two months, I'm saying goodbye to Zetia. It was a miracle drug and it did lower my bad levels dramatically in just three weeks. I was lucky and had no physical pains, and my upset stomach went away after the first two weeks.
But I could never get over the foggy head feeling. It was really interfering with my job, which is computer work and requires me to be focused at all times. It's too bad ...I really wanted it to work. I've been off it for three weeks now, and I'm back to my old self again. Best of all, I can think clearly again!
So I will look elsewhere to lower my cholesterol. I'm sure I can do it thru supplements, diet, and exercise.
Wish me luck.

Sometimes these drugs just aren't worth it . What did people do before all these drugs , isn't weird that things are no better since they developed these so called wonder drugs , there is just as much heart disease as there everr was .

The manufacturer just added edema and alleric reax to list of side-effects with Zetia. Oh yes, I am now 3+ months on Zetia myself and had been fine until recently starting to get pain & swelling in my knees - making it difficult to walk. If it doesn't clear up soon, I'll have to decide if I'd rather have high cholesterol or live like this. BTW,my tot chol went from 230 to 201 with Zetia.

Hi everyone!!!
I haven't checked in for a while, have been enjoying life without Zetia ...and blissfully ignoring the fact that I have high cholesterol! Hey, maybe it'll go away on it's own! ya think? ;)
I will go in next week and test my levels again. And see how much damage I've done since getting off Zetia. I may try the half dosage and hope the brain-fog feeling is not as bad.
Now, on a more serious matter ...how am I gonna halve those itty bitty pills without smashing them to pieces? lol!
