I was reading a magazine a while back and they had a story on pets who saved people's lives. This one lady had a cat who suddenly started nudging her chest and the lady discovered a lump on her chest around the area where the cat had been nudging her. The lump was cancerous and had to be surgically removed. Well I have this cat who has never really been affectionate with me but recently when I'm watching TV or sitting somewhere she'll climb on my lap and ram her head into mine. I thought this was cute at first but yesterday I found a lump on the side of my head. I haven't had any recent head injury so I'm not sure what it could be. It's probably not serious and just a weird coincidence but it just seems really strange. I don't really want to go to a doctor because I'd be embarrassed if it was an oddly placed abnormally big zit or something.

I would recommend going to the doctor because you are better off being embarassed by finding out it is nothing than you are ignoring it and it ending up being something and allowing it to get worse. Animals are a lot smarter than most people give them credit for. I have had cancer 4 times and I have a large dog that thinks it is a lap dog. I have a lot of problems with my left knee and she will sit in front of me a lick that knee. When she gets up on my lap she makes sure to put her wieght on my right side instead of my left. So I would recommend listening to your cat and having it checked just in case.
