in two weeks! No drugs. I was lipitor for a month and after 1 month my cholestrol was the same!
So I quick taking drugs and stopped eating all carbs. This is a very hard diet but I really had to lower my cholestrol. In another two weeks I dropped it from 238 to 205 and loss 10 lbs.
Its kinda like suger busters.

Tim,
Do you think you will be able to go the rest of your life without carbs?

How about specifics? Give us an example of your daily diet. Also did you excercise?

It's not that you never eat carbs, you just eat them in a much lower ratio to protein. For instance, I eat vegies, but try to limit those that tend to have higher carbs, such as carrots.
I'm not Tim, but I can attest to the fact that I also lowered my cholesterol when I started the Atkins regime over 6 years ago. In fact, I reaped other benefits as well, such as losing some stomach fat that was bugging me, having more energy, etc.
Once you understand the principles of low carb eating it is not "the end of the world" and one could easily eat this way for a lifetime. After awhile of eating this way you learn when you can add more carbs and when you must be more restrictive. For me, restricting sugar and flour products is well worth it for the health benefits I have derived.
