Hmm. It could be perioral dermatitis, a fairly common skin condition. PD is a rash that usually causes small red bumps to appear around the mouth area, although they can also appear around the nose and eyes. At times it will resemble acne, with accompanying pus-filled bumps.

I have not encountered any references to swelling associated with this disorder.

I suggest that you see a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis.
