Has anyone tried the new drug-Crestor (Rosuvastatin)? I'm told it's stronger then Lipitor, but what about the side effects like hair loss.

Since it is a statin drug, unfortunately you are likely to have the same potential side effects as all the others. Wouldn't it be nice if for just once someone came out with a drug which had GOOD side effects?

ARIZONA,
Blessedly there were a couple. Of course the most noteworthy was aspirin. Arthritics who were taking 15 or so a day for pain and inflammation had the darndest side effect. They almost NEVER died of heart attacks.
There was also one (whose name escapes me) that had the darndest side effect: frequent long lasting erections! (Such torment :D)
But you're right....they're rare indeed.

zip2play,
Yes, I suppose that overall it is those natural drugs which produce the "good" side effects. Alcohol is another good example. Sometimes I'm amazed at the number of senior citizens I see coming out of liquor stores with a spring in their step and a sparkle in their eyes. A good side effect? Perhaps!
