Hi there,

I feel for you with twins, you have my respect, I'm not sure I'd have the energy to do it!

My daughter refused to nap in her crib (for more than 5-10 minutes) until she was 7 months old. She'd sleep there at night (not thorugh the night but at night) but if we laid her there for a nap she'd wake up right away and SCREAM. So although I know she was "supposed" to sleep in her crib, most of the time she ended up napping in the playpen, or with me holding her, or in her bouncy chair or swing (when she was smaller).

Now that it's summer and she's a year old and I have time off from work we wanted to get her on a schedule of napping. She's a year old, but she's doing much better. She naps in her crib and she knows our routine. Now that she's older she doesn't have a hard time getting int he crib because she knows that's the only place she gets her binky...so sometimes she needs to rest even when she's not sleepy just to have some quiet time and rest with her stuffed animal and binky.

Good luck, your little ones will fall into a routine soon and once you get some sleep you will feel so much better (my daughter didn't consistently sleep through the night until 10 months...when she did it made a HUGE difference on both of our lives!)

I have been holding from baby since she was born for her naps in my arms while relaxing on the couch. It has always been my time to rest either by napping, watching tv, browsing the internet on my laptop or reading a book. She is 2 now and we still do it and it works great for us. I pick her up everyday at noon and I lay her on my lap and she falls asleep.

My daughter sleeps in her crib. I know for some it doesn't work, but for her when she went in the crib, she new it was time to sleep so it was great for naps and bedtime.

Good luck!

My daughter sleeps in her crib for every nap. With a house full of children and noise, her bedroom is the best place for her. Plus it gives me a break as well.

Hi Brownie.

During the day my twins sleep in the double pack n play we have in the family room. I don't drag them upstairs. But they rarely take naps just like yours. At night my boy will sleep in his crib OK but my girl screams so i usually end up taking her in my room and either she sleeps on the boppy in my bed or we have a seond pack n play for her. i am trying to get her used to her crib but she isn't adjusting as well as her brother. i don't want her waking him up so i usually remove her from the nursery if she freaks out. and sometimes she sleeps on the couch with me if i am exhausted.

How are you doing?

During the day, if she falls asleep in her swing, I leave her there. Otherwise, we put her in her cradle, which is still in our room =)

Hey CBB nice to hear from you....how are things going?
My twins are doing better.....the past 2 weeks they have been so good...during the day with me....that its scary...they do have there extreme fussy times around 6pm where they both scream ungodly until we stick them in the car and just drive around, just to calm them down..Im just finding it a hard time to keep them occupied during the day.....

I wasent sure If I should put them in there cribs during the day...but I think I answered my own question as soon as daylight hits they want no parts of there cribs..to sleep (so I bring them down with me....Dd usually sleeps in boppy or bouncey chair....and DS is usually in swing, boppy or bouncey....

Hi Brownie.

Things here are still crazy. Twins still won't sleep through the night. I started back to work part time 3 weeks ago so i am exhausted all the time.

I had the babies christened in June. I actually had 2 separate cakes. They both said God Bless and then the baby name. I had a strawberry shortcake decorated in pink and white for my girl and an Italian rum cake decorated in blue and white for my boy. i figured they are 2 babies so there should be 2 cakes. Hope that helps.
