i did my newest test on the 7th, i WAS at a TC of 289. trigs being 116 and my HDL being 64, i believe my LDL was 202, and as far as the other points i dont know where they go and that was non fasting.....but i still havent heard anything, so is no news good news? I do have a dr appt on the 21st, but i do know it takes a week for the cholesterol results. And this time i FASTED like a starving child. i stopped eating at 9 pm night before and my labs were done at aprox 10:30 am. i didnt even have my coffee. so I shudda got a "good" test. Also my Dr said that since i fasted for so long it would be a BIG difference in the results. I asked him would they be better? he said yes. I'll let you guys know how I turn out, But i need to let you know right now...im 4'10 and WAS weighing 140. when i was dx'd with HC in Aug i saw a dietician and have since changed the way i eat and dont eat more then 25 mgs of sat fat and/or consume 1200 calories a day. also i no longer fry foods i bake, and i have cut out red meat. Also i have not ate butter or margerine for the last 4 months, i use the canola spray. Believe me i love my hamburgers! But my health tells me i cant have them, and im in trying times with kids in the house, temptation is there, also a FIANCE who dont like me lookin so good http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif believe me he is real quik to throw a big mac in my face with extra sauce!!! yummmmm just how i like it. and it is difficult to say no but i know if i dont i could perhaps pay for it with my life...and to be honest i like it this way......I know when the Dr's came in to talk to me after the 1st test and they asked me "how do you feel?" it knocked some sence into me. Ok back to what i was saying, I'll let you all know how my results turn out. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

ibnalgas,

Good luck on the 21st. I'm sure the results will be much better. That old "non-fasting" sample was as good as useless.
Make sure that you keep a copy of the results. It will come in handy as part of your record.
