My middle finger is discolored from the 2nd knuckle down. It is a brownish color. I have no pain. It looks like a burn, but isn't. The skin is soft and I can feel sensation. Any idea what this could be? It is very noticeable.

do you smoke? Sometimes I see people who smoke with discolored fingers.
