View Full Version : Excedrin - nausea?

I've had a headache for a few days. I took an excedrin after lunch and have been nauseous ever since. Do these make you nauseous? I thought I was actually going to throw up several times.

Nausea always worries me because I had gotten a fever and chills with nausea earlier this year and the doctor said it was an ovarian cyst. They were sure I had a cyst - but also said it could be an inflammed intestine. I don't know what it was - I just know I never want to be that sick again!

Thanks for any help that you may have.

Excedrin has asprin in it...so yes, it can make you nauseous. Make sure you eat with it if you take it again in the future. Do you have some Pepto? I find that helps nausea the best.

Thanks so much. I think I have some somewhere around here. I took a Phenregan a few hours ago. It didn't help too much. I'll try the pepto. Thanks again for your advice! :)

You can try taking a tablet over the counter called sonaflam for headaches these are amazing and shouldn't cause nausea double check you can take them though, also maxalon can be good for nausea but these are prescribed. Hope this helps

I believe Sonaflam is Naproxen aka Aleve in the US. Which is known more for upsetting stomachs than Asprin. hehe but yeah...it works pretty good. Just make sure you eat with that as well...taking it on an empty stomach can cause stomach bleeding.

Hi Mother,

Thanks for the advice. :) I'll certainly look into those. Asprin must not agree with me well. I'll mention those names to my doc for the nausea meds. It would be nice to have some on hand if it happens again. My sis also gets migraines so I wonder if maybe I didn't inherit that from my sis.

Thanks again for answering. God bless!

Hi Pixie,
