View Full Version : Hair Loss - Should I be worried?

Hi All,

I am a 29 year old male, and up to now I've always had a thick head of hair so I never worried about hair loss or baldness. My father, however, is completely bald, but previously I thought I was lucky enough to escape that gene, because I have an uncle who doesn't have that problem.

Just recently, my hair stylist noticed that my hair is thinning a bit on the sides, which I realize is true, although its barely noticeable. I have been stressed and not sleeping enough recently, also have been wearing caps more often recently.

Does this mean that I will beginning to go bald like my father, or will everything be ok if I just stop wearing hats?

Will something like rogaine work, in case the hair loss gets worse? Are there any truly effective solutions?

At what point do you know for sure that you are going bald?

Thanks!
