When I take a drag off of a cigarette it happens that distant objects become double images. Now, I know I shouldn't smoke and have quit just recently. But it seems that what I described is an indication of something. I smoked for 20 years and never had that happen and now it happens all the time.(up to the time I quit that was only 3 days ago). Does anyone know anything about why that is happening? Maybe its an indication of something serious.

Welcome to the boards! "Lack of oxygen" as you breathe in the smoke can cause many problems with vision...including blurred or double vision. Smoking has also been known to cause problems with eyesight in general, so it makes sense that your eyesight is affected when smoking. I would, however, get a brain scan if you can. It's probably just lack of oxygen at the times you suck the air in, but you can never be too careful. ;) I'll be praying for you! Everything will be just fine.
