I would really like to fast for a week to cleanse my body and just experience what its like, but I can't even seem to go a whole day without eating. I get extremely nauseous, dizzy, and just feel like complete crap overall. also, i have daily medication that i take each morning, and when taken on an empty stomache, i usually feel like throwing up and sometimes do.
how do people survive fasts??? am i doing something wrong??
any and all help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Fasting is very unhealthy...there is no point to it and should never be done without a doctors supervision.

I agree with pinkpixie, and I've yet to see evidence that cleansing fasts serve any medical purpose.
However, if you are truly determined, any fast longer than 24 hours must include fluids and electrolytes, otherwise you are putting your life in danger.
You cannot work or drive while fasting, because your performance is impaired and your emotions erratic.

If you are fasting for religous reasons, especially if you want to do an extended fast, you can drink juices and veggie juices as long as they have no sugar. ALWAYS drink water. If you are going on an all out fast you STILL must drink water. Lots of churches will go on the inital fast like that for one or two days and then spend the remander of the week eating fruit or bread.
Here's a link on how to fast safely . . .

If you are underweight of have a health problem always consult your doctor before starting a fast.
