My daughter was born 6 weeks early and weighed 4 lbs 7 oz at birth. At her 2 month check up she weighed 7 lbs 12 oz. I don't think there is an exact weight that a preemie should weigh, as long as the baby is gaining and thriving. How early was your daughter? How much does she weigh now?

dont let them worry you, sometimes people are just mean. i had my son at 39 1/2 weeks and he weighed 8 lbs 4 oz. but i have heard stories (within the lasy year) of babies being born at 14 or 17 lbs (you can look them up thru google) so i would say that unless your baby looks overweight and YOU are concerned, then i would say your baby is happy and healthy.
