I had laproscopic lap-band surgery 3/06 and have never had a fill that was truly restrictive. I am going to discuss by-pass surgery with my surgeon soon. Has anyone else gone this route?

I have been thinking about it. Can you say more about your situation?

I have been quite successful with mine, however its a matter of finding your sweet spot that helps you control hunger. The band is not a miracle weight loss device, its a tool, you have to work with it in order for it to work. I was banded in june of this year, and I have lost 50lbs. I have had 3 fills, and one unfill. If I had a chance to do it again I would do the gastric sleeve. But insurance doesnt cover it. And if youre considering bypass, do the mini. Its less risk involved.
