View Full Version : Nausea After Eating

For the past week or so, I have been experiencing nausea and discomfort in the abdomen after I eat. It first happened when I ate a big burger, which is something that I don't normally eat. I almost threw up and later on in the day I was hit with a case of diarrhea and oily leakage. The bowl movement was oily and had undigested food in it.

This nausea is happening after I eat something really fatty or rich or something really fibrous. I got nauseous after eating a green salad two days ago, and today I got the same, bloated, sick feeling after eating 2/3 of an apple. This doesn't happen after drinking or eating any diary products or any meat products. As a matter of fact, milk, cheese, meat, pasta and juice are about all I can stomach without feeling ill.

The nausea usually lasts about an hour and it feels better when I lie down and worse when I get up. Sometimes it is followed by diarrhea and other times by constipation.

If this doesn't get better in a few more days, I may go to the doctor, but I wanted to come here first to get someone's opinion.
