Hiya,y'all http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wave.gif I was reading through all of these posts, and there seems to be a common theme in many of them, an UNDERSTANDABLE common theme~ It seems as though many are afraid to have HIV testing after possible exposure. Anytime testing is delayed due to fear, treatment is also delayed, fear and anxiety increase, and the potential for further spread also increases. NOT being tested doesn't change whether or not you WERE infected, it just delays treatment. There are so many treatment options available today, but success in treatment can depend on early treatment. So take care, and if you think you've been exposed.....get tested!

Hi, I have something to say about your advise, and let me also tell you that I understand, and the intention in this letter is not to offend you, is just my point of view, I have done alot of research in anti "HIV" drugs if you want to call them that way, and I personally would not adviced anybody in taking this kind of drugs. I would not be able to explain why in this letter but I can tell you where to go and see for yourself how unsafe these drugs are. You can find alot of well research information about this topic at: www.aidsrealitycheck.com (http://www.aidsrealitycheck.com) and then go to the COCKTAIL category on the left column of the screen.

i agree that although the meds might not be safe, getting checked is of major importance. whether or not someone decides to take the meds is up to them but this disease has got to stop being spread. fears from not wanting to know you are positive and then sleeping around with other people, it really has got to stop. i totally understand not wanting to find out "your positive" but i also look at it this way, if you don't find out and you do have it your "handing out that same death sentence" you feared you might have. (in no way am i implying thats what it is, but i have heard people refer to it as that, and thats why they refuse to be tested) i will not lie, i am totally ignorant on the facts of hiv/aids, i know very little about the disease. what i do know about it is it strikes anyone, any age, at anytime. its a scarey realization of what can happen if you have sex, especially unprotected. i agree with the both of you.... meds can be dangerous..... but testing is still very important. i wish they would just come up with a cure, but i guess that would be too easy. they wouldn't make half as much money curing it as they do with the meds they have now to "control" it. please anyone.... if you think you've been exposed, get checked. don't risk spreading it to other people. if the person that had passed it to you had been tested and knew they had it, chances are you would not have it. i do understand few people who know they have it spread it knowingly, but i believe its spread accidentally more than intentionally. please get tested if you think you've been exposed.
