20 years ago my dad was infected with AIDS and Hep C. LAtely, his ammonia level has shot up into the mid hundreds. It is amazing doctors that he is alive. My mother and I have been taking care of him and keeping him on a low protein diet and giving him a laxative that grabs the ammonia and allows it to leave the body. It isn't working ver well though.
