Ive had a pain in the side of my throat when I swallow and a cough now for a few months. The pain usually happens when i swallow dry, or drink, not when i eat. Have tried various prescription lozenges, mouthwashes etc and have now been referred to ENT. I had a fibre optic cable thing down which showed nothing abnormal and Im now waiting for an MRI scn. Im incredibly scared it may be cancer. Has anyone had a similar experience?

have you had your thyroid checked?
I'd check that before worrying about cancer.......

it could even be GERD
don't panic.....I know it's hard, but just wait and see what the doctor says.

Well the MRI results are back and have showed up nothing. Which is obviously great news. Just need to try and find out what the problem is. The doc has ruled out Reflux
