Last September i went to my Dr. to get an allergy test done and he prescribed me 1. Claritin D for my sinuses and 2. xanex as a sleep aide. Up until this point in my life I had never had to see a doctor...for any reason. Well, I started taking both medications together because he said it was ok but I dont think things are ok. For almost the last year I have been suffering form a dry mouth and dry lips. Now, I'm paranoid about having caught some disease ( Like HIV). I went to several doctors including my dentist, ENT and Dentist specialist and they cant seem to find out what's going on. I am a body builder that just got back on my diet because I thought that maybe this might have had something to do with it..(POOR DIET??) and eventhough I dont have sex often I'm still exposed to HIV because I am a gay man. Am I over reacting?? Can I order an HIV kit online so i can test myself. I was in L.A. last week and meant to get tested but I forgot. How do I get tested without anyone knowing about it. I do want to know if I have something so that I dont give it to anyone else. Let me know if anyone has any answers for the freightened bear.

Big Bear,
Look in your phone book under 'AIDS & AIDS TESTING' or something like that. There should be an ad for Anonymous testing with a 1-2day turn around time. If it's the same place I have gone through it's very, very anonymous.
It works like this:
You call the number, tell them where you live.
They will give you the names of the clinics in the area that do the testing for them.
You give them a name, ANY NAME at all to file your test under.
You overnight them a money order for the amount of the test.
You call back in 2 days for the results.
They take credit cards too.
End Result: Very fast and Very anonymous.
I've used this service after having to schedule a doctor's office visit to hear my test results. They don't do it over the phone here in Washington.
Good Luck,
Jimbo

Hi,
I recommend you get tested to be safe. I found out I was HIV+ after having been told I had Sinusitis for two months. After my third visit to the doctor he asked me if I had had an HIV test. That's when I found out I was positive. I kept running a fever with my sinus infection and medication was helping that's why he wanted me to do the HIV test.
Sinusitis is very common however, so don't panic!
Please let us know your results.
