Hi, I was wondering what exactly are the signs of HIV that can occur on your skin?? I have these small (half inch) dark lines on my inner thigh, which looks like I took a dark red marker and drew small lines. I dont know if they are stretch marks or what? I have no major reason to worry about HIV since I practice safe sex, but I am scared because I hear KS is a skin symptom of aids?? Am I jus paranoid??

If you don't have any risk for HIV, then you don't have KS (it could be possible if you were older and were of Baltic descent).

Nobody mistakes KS for stretch marks. Have you ever looked in a book and seen KS lesions? Doing that helped to alleviate a fear of KS for me.

If you don't have HIV risk factors but are overly conerned about HIV, there's a problem for which you should talk to someone. You know the drill: friend, family member, significant other, clergyperson, mental health professional -- or even a doctor (as long as it's not too many of them).
