had my gallbladder removed a week and 4 days. now my side is hurt. the pain is really bad. what should i do?

If you're in excruciating pain, you should go to the ER. If you're just sore, it's likely that it's from surgery. You're gonna be sore, but if you were feeling better, and now you're feeling much WORSE, you should see a doctor.

How would you describe the "hurt" - I developed a horrible side stitch like you get from running. I practiced the same breathing exercises that are suggested for all side stiches and it eventually went away.

Had mine removed on 6-18 I have pancreatitis (hereditary) and about a week later I developed pain just below were my ribs meet, and vomiting. Called the GI and he ordered some labs, I now have SOD type 1 from having gb removed, liver funtions are all high, along with amalayse and lipase. So you might want to go have some blood work done.
