cas,

I can't answer your humidifier question, but I do have some thoughts...

Do you clean your filter(s) regularly? In addition to the sponge filter are you using the allergy filter?

How often are you changing your water?

I ask because sometimes these are factors in nasal congestion.

I clean everything twice a week with an antibacterial dish soap, no ,I do not use an allergy filter. I have one but have never used it. I cleaned everything yesterday and woke up with an stuffy nose today. I change my water everyday.

HI Cas26 ,
I use C.P.A.P and I found my nasal stuffiness could be helped by :
a nasal spray, a nasal lubricant (secaris) and I would turn the humidifier UP a little and see if that helps . I didn't use the nasal spray for long but I always have my humidifier up ..try different levels see how that works
Take care and good luck !

Ps . not sure if this applies but I had a friend who was allergic to dairy and her stuffiness was helped by omitting it from her diet ..or not having so much .

One cause of nasal congestion is allergies...try using the allergy filter....it may help.

I was having a little stuffiness (on one side only) but more of a sore throat. It went on for 2 days, and was mild, but still annoying. I was afraid it was the start of something. Then last night I increased the humidifier and NO more sore throat! So, maybe it was coincidence, or maybe that is what worked for me. Let us know what your experience is. I hope you can figure it out!
