I have a wonderful, healthy, fat (14+ pounds) 11 week old baby. The trouble is our bedtime! We feed his last bottle around 630 or so then play for awhile then bathtime around 7. He winds down after that and cuddles and gets sleepy by 730. He'll go to bed around 730 or 8 but then wakes up every few minutes. Usually he is trying to suck his thumb or lost paci. I usually have to pat his bottom for several minutes as he grunts and kicks. Eyes closed though, trying to sleep. Tonight it was the hiccups! Poor guy! Usually ends up with me picking him up after fighting him for an hour and feeding him a little more and rocking him. Very frustrating night after night! He just seems very restless. I know I shouldn't complain cuz he sleeps til 4am or so. It's just that I go back to work next week and hate the thought of us fighting him like this every night. It is now 930 and he is finally in bed and has been quiet a while. This is also hard on our 6 year old who needs our time at the end of the day! Any thoughts/suggestions??

Count your blessings. Most people don't get their 11 weeks old to sleep till 4:30 am. So you'll go back to work tired. It won't be like this forever. Savor your baby while he is still a baby.

Have you tried bath time, bottle time and then straight to bed?

I agree, maybe you should do bath time, bottle, then bed. I found that a better combination for my family. Also, be lucky your child goes to bed before 10. It was a battle with ours, and he would still wake up at least once thru the night. My bf and I just switched off taking turns getting up with him everynight. It was hard b/c I was so sleepy, but it does get better, or maybe your body just adjusts... lol

I will try that! The timing just never seems to be right for that. But I'll see if I can stall his last bottle time by bathing first. Thanks!:)
