I was just wondering what monitors people use that they feel are excellent. Ours makes this weird clicking noise and we've exchanged it twice already but they all do it! I was looking into getting a new monitor and was hoping for some suggestions.

Hi E,
We use the Fisher Price Prenatal to Nursery Monitor. We had originally used the Fisher Price Lights and Sounds Monitor, but for some reason it kept getting terrible static...we got rid of it!
My brother's girlfriend actually gave me the nursery monitor. It is supposed to let you hear the baby in the womb and then converts to a monitor (although I never heard anything even in the ninth month, lol).
It's GREAT!!! We get no weird noises, no other conversations of other people, and it lights up too.
I think that a lot of the static and weird noises will come if you're in a bad area. For example, we used to live very close to train tracks and an automobile repair shop. The static was really bad. After the move, it lessened, but was still there. So I just decided to break out the other monitor. I'd recommend it.

I highly recommend the Graco UltraClear II monitor. We used to use the Fisher Price Sounds N Light monitor, but like LauraLu, we got quite a bit of static. The Graco one is great! We've never had any static and it comes with two receivers. It's nice 'cause there are "sound lights" on the parents unit that light up depending on how loud your baby is crying. It was great when my son was smaller and I needed to blowdry my hair or vacuum 'cause I could just glance at the monitor to see if he was crying. The model I have has a temperature on the nursery model, it's great in the winter.
