I've been hearing abt condom breakage during sex. How can we ascertain whether the condom has broken considering that the penis is inside the vagina during intercourse? Is there any special pain or sound?

Also, I heard that primary HIV rashes are 'transient' and 'can change locations'. Anyone knows what they mean? Do it mean that it comes, disappears for a few days, and then re-appear again? I've got such rashes on my lower arm (with other symptoms) that appears 1-2 times a week. Each episode lasts abt 1/2 an hr.

Do primary HIV rashes behave this way? Is it usual?

Pls help

Hi

I have had gastro problems and thought it might be hiv but tested negative well past the 3 month window. Anyway during the course of my worries I found a few posts re: hiv rash and the following is a quote from an hiv MD from The Body.com I hope it eases your anxiety. Oh, by the way I'm now treating my non hiv gastro problems

"The rash seen with HIV seroconversion usually is either a very transient rash (sometimes just lasting for hours) or would be more persistent. It is not characterized by coming and going. If you think you might be infected (including having a high risk exposure) I would get tested sooner rather than later including perhaps a direct HIV test (viral load). If you happen to be infected early treatment is often recommended." KH

Anyone has any idea whether the rash is supposed to be obvious or whether it can be so faint that u won't know whether to regards it as a rash or not?

I got some redness on my chest but just not so sure whether to consider it a rash.

Thanks.
