I had possible exposure on Nov 23rd. I used the condom but before that I did mouth job, no blood but at the time of intercourse I used the condom with the vagina fluid inside (Totally dry but slippery) for second and used the same condom.
After 4 weeks went for ELISA test, Came -ve...

After 3 weeks I realized or may be touched the lymph node (under my chin) swollen. Then keep touching until now (May be less these days). The size decreased but not much.

After 5th Week started feeling burning in my gland behin the ear. First right side then left. Both little bit elevated from normal size.

Sixth week feeling burning in my neck area and dry throat..I don't know how to chek the mucus or yeast. But my tongue is relatively whiter than before.

No fever, Diohrrea, No major weight loss, Few ponds may be because I am not eating properly.

Can someone tell me what to do at this stage. I was waiting to go to Doctor after 3rd month but could not help and gave a sample to Home Access just after 8 weeks, waiting for result.

When is FAXGEN is coming..? Why people want to hide their HIV from their insurance company... So how you will treat then If God forbid you have it.

The women I had sex with says that she never had unprotected sex and she is doing fine. I told her to check the symptoms, She does not listen to me and says me I am paranoid and asks me what is bothering you???

I duno what to do in this situation... Why the lymph node and why behind the ear one???

Hello BadLuck. I'm sorry to read about your worry, I am very worried myself, had a similar experience and I havent tested yet. All I can say is the following:

An HIV test after 4 weeks (unless is a PCR test which is very expensive) cannot confirm or deny the presence of HIV in your body. Why? its too soon. BUT the fact that you tested negative, is indeed an encouraging result.

As many people have told me here, there is absolutely no way to diagnose an infection based on symptoms. I have had most the symptoms myself (including fevers, diarrhea, etc), but in this cae the swollen lymph node you mantion is more than likely NOT HIV related, because in most of the cases, the swelling is general (sides of neck, armpits, groin), since HIV is a sistemic (all over your body) infection.

Its hard, I know this myself right now, but try to take it easy, anxiety (as it has played with me) can be very bad on you, especially if you dont eat well, and worry about this all the time. Go talk to a doctor about your concerns and refer eveything to him/her. Call the CDC hotline (I did and made me feel better).

3 months after exposure is the earliest recommended timeframe for testing. I hope and I'm pretty sure you will come out negative. 6 months is the maximum (per say, since most infected people are detected here).

I hope you find relief for your worriness and anxiety.

Be safe, be smart, live life!

Your exposure (like mine) was of a significant lower risk. Although I do realize that using the same condom was not a very wise thing to do.

Dear jag2k,
I did not use the same condom twice, I wrote I touched the wrong (inside) of condom while putting it on and my hand was slippery (not wet).
I have one more question that, If I had unprotected sex with my longtime g/f after 2 weeks of possible exposure.PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF HER EXPOSURE?

Thanks
