Hi,
I recently met a man that can not remember how many women he has slept with.He has been tested for HIV and was negative, however has slept with several women before we met.Am not certain if Condoms were used or not.

So far we haven't been sexual but both like each other and want to deepen our friendship/relationship to another level.

I dont want to sleep with him with-without Condoms until I can be sure if his status is still neg.How can I handle this without coming across as hurtful?

Im afraid the Condom might tear or something drastic happen.I had a bad experience 9 years ago and do NOT want to go through that hell ever again!!

Thanks,
Jasmine

HIV is not easily transmitted. Even if a condom broke, your chances of exposure through that one time contact is very slim. HIV generally somehow has to make it into your bloodstream for infection.

Simply use a condom with this guy. Any normal decent guy would never refuse one. If and when you both decide to get serious, suggest a blood test for both of you. That is exactly what me and my boyfriend did and it worked out great. It makes our relationship much smoother knowing 100% neither of us has anything.
