Hi, I was with a woman two weeks ago, and we did not have intercourse or anything like that but what I am concerned about is can HIV be passed by licking a woman's nipple? Sorry I do not know any poloitically correct way of phrasing that. Is there any reason to worry about this???? Thank you.

Hello there. If what you say you did is all you did, a lot of us can tell you that you were not at risk whatsoever, unless some of the following was true, which I dont think it is:

-The woman's nipple had traces of blood AND you had sores or bleeding wounds in your tongue
-The woman was lactating and you drank some of the milk (ridiculous isn't it?)

Even if one of these were to be true, you'd still be at a very low risk. Highest risk of exposure is through unprotected anal, unprotected vaginal sex, with exchange of blood/body fluids such as precum, semen, vaginal secretions or menstrual blood.

So chill out my man, you are A++ OK. Just whenever you do it for real, be safe, and use a rubber from start to finish even in oral sex just to be sure.

Regards, j2k

Thanks a lot for the response. That is all that happened, that and dry humping (im thinking there is no way it could spread through clothing too right???) Thanks again

You are exactly right pal. If indeed your humping was "dry", then the posibility is totally zero. For all other possibilities, just keep in mind that the virus has to have an easy and quick way to get into your body...it does not survive very long in open air(some say seconds, some say minutes...eveybody agrees that its very little time)

That is why transmission is more likely to happen when there is direct access..blood to blood...fluid to blood (like when you have a sore in your penis).

Plus, the person you have been with has to be HIV+ in order to raise any kind of concern...I assume you dont know, but its most likely to not be the case.

I understand thanks again I appreciate it. By "Dry" i meant with clothing on, was just wondering if with friction could it pass through jeans. Basically like if you got a lapdance at a strip club similiar situation. Thanks again

If only all of us settled for a lap dance only http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif we could save ourselves a lot of trouble...you are at absolutely no risk of transmision. Keep it up man.
