I have been using an ash blond hair coloring on my light brown hair and I love the color the first day. After I wash it a few times it loses the ash and becomes to yellow. Any suggestions.

Are you using shampoo meant for color treated hair? Regular shampoos and conditioners may strip color too fast. Also they make purple/violet shampoos which are specifically for maintaining ash colors (violet neutralizes yellow).

I have been using a shampoo for color treated hair, but it isn't working. I didn't know about the purple/violet shampoos.
