A few yrs ago i was put on zocor for high cholesterol.I went off it when my numbers went down.Well now yrs later i find out that my numbers are up again. When i was taking the zocor i had no side effects. What i would like to know is what would be the benifits of me using red yeast rice instead of the zocor?I am on a limited income, and if i went back on the zocor my insurance would pay for it.If i went on the red yeast rice ,i would have to pay for it out of pocket.Any replies are welcome.Thankyou.:)

Suzy,
For RYR info, read this thread...Lengthy, but very informative.
The RYR will cost you about 20-24USD for 60 days supply.

The advantages will become obvious on the above post Suzy.

You can get one of the best brands of Coenzyme Q10 for $28.61 (5 months supply).
Healthy Origins, CoQ10 Gels, 100 mg, 150 Softgel Capsules. (If you don't have any heart or muscle problems now, 100mg should suffice.)
