My daughter is undergoing what the doctor called STJ surgery to imbed a rod that will stablize the calcanrous and taly so that the now 30% fusion that is occuring in both ankles can complete more quickly to avoid more prolonged pain. I need info on both the procedure as well as the conditiohn - she is 16 and a runner and has had severe pain for over a year now.
