Hi, I am new on this board. I have had a weight problem all my life as well. I am 57 years old now. I had kept my weight down in my 30's and 40's but somehow it just got out of control and every year I would say that this is the time to lose weight. On April 19th when my sister came to visit she told me that I had to lose weight... I was too BIG... well she got me mad and from that day on I started to eat and think differently. I was weighing 265lbs. It is July 30th and I have lost 23pounds and about 12% body fat. I eat very healthy and now and lots of organic foods. My husband and I even started our own organic garden. I make sure and eat spinach everyday and keep my calories at 1200 on the outside 1400 and I do treadmill for about 1hr. I am actually running at 5.0mph for about 3min but I walk it out at 3.0mph I also wear a sweatsuit jacket only with zipper front. Its amazing how much you can sweat. I feel great when I get off the tread. I told my husband how good I feel mentally.. like my mind is crystal clear... I have so much more energy. My goal is to lose 100lbs and get as close to my goal by December 2008. Hope this helps someone out there....
