how long before you can swallow after a stroke my dad (76) had his nearly 3 months ago and he still can't swallow

No two Strokes are alike,just as no two Snowflakes are alike.
Therefore,there is no way of predicting when the Ability to swallow will be restored,if ever.
I had a Stroke in my Brain Stem (the Medulla ).I could not swallow for about five Days.Then I regained that Ability.
His Doctor is the best Source to ask this Question.But,it will only be
An educated Guess.
