Me and and my girlfriend (I'm 24, she's 20) went on a weekend trip together about a month back, and I guess you could say we "overexerted" ourselves. After the trip I was basically rubbed raw down there, and had a few patches of pinkish irritation that were very sensitive.
Ever since then, whenever we have sex I get patches of skin irritation and redness for a few days which eventually will go away if I don't touch it and leave it alone. Could I possibly have contracted a yeast infection or something similar from her? It seems worse than just regular irritation, since we tried not having sex for almost two weeks and it seemed to clear up, but after sex it reoccured. She was a virgin before me and I 've been tested so I know STD's aren't a possibility.
My health insurance also starts next week from my new job and I have PPO so I could just go straight to a urologist without a referral, would that be a better option than going to a general practicioner?
