Hi.
It's been a little quiet here on this particular forum, ...don't fret. Somedays are like that.
It's hard to tell exactly what you have, although you do have worrisome symptoms.
You're doing the absolute best thing. Good for you! A biopsy is the way to go.
Then, you can take action for whatever it is---possibly just an infection.
Try not to fret too much. Worry does no good.
Keep us posted here, when you get the results.
Good luck & "chin up."

I went to the surgeon today and he said he wants to take the whole lump out. thank you so . much for responding it is a comfort to know i have somebody here, my family doesn't know anything about lymphoma. I guess i just have to think positive. the only thing is i don't have any insurance. i have to pay the surgeon upfront. so i probably wont have the surgery for about a month. this is just a bad time, i have a son going to Purdue University and i am trying to get him ready. i do have a job interview for another job monday, i heard they have good insurance. I hop i get it. thank you for understanding.

Just want to echo what Singer says. Biopsy is the only way forward. None of the symptoms of lymphoma are specific to lymphoma, so the only way to tell what the lump may be is to take the lump out and have a look at it. Nightsweats can have all sorts of causes, and I believe itching is considered a very unreliable lymphoma symptom. The fact that you can feel the lymph node means that it will be relatively easy to get to. A young lady I knew a couple of years ago had very similar symptoms to yourself, and several enlarged lymph nodes in her groin. She had a biopsy, which turned out to be ok. She was right to take her symptoms seriously, and have the biopsy, and you are right to do this too.
I hope it turns out to be ok.
Best wishes
Simon
