Hi, hopefully someone can give me answers.. I was diagnosed with vaginitis over 5 days ago- an adorable combo of UTI and by far the most horrific yeast infection I have yet to experience. My history is a series of UTIs (once ever 3 months easily) and general "reproductive problems" including painful ovulation and constant infections. This last one threw me for a loop though...

I was prescribed diflucan and after 2 full days of agonizing pain it finally kicked in (is there no faster relief??). Thankfully, both UTI and yeast infection are clearing up well but safe to say my vulva is sore and raw after all of this. There seems to be cuts just on the inside of the lips making urination more painful than the UTI and an almost yellowish discharge that doesn't smell amazing.. I was thinking that the discharge might just be the yeast infection exiting the body and the last time i experienced this i was younger and didnt take note if the discharge was appropriate.

I woke up today and the swelling and dryness had decreased significantly so things seem to be moving along- anyone know anything about this adorable discharge?? Also if anyone has any answers or Dr's in NY for these UTIs it would be more than appreciated... I cant imagine having to live with these problems much longer, im sure there are many of you out there know how unbearable the pain is. Thanks to all for your time! Good health to all!

If you took Macrobid for the UTI...that usually gives me a bacterial infection...which is what sounds to me what you have...if it doesn't completely clear up, go back to your doctor and have them do a culture. They'll prescribe either Flagyl or Metrogel...Flagyl always gives me a yeast infection and Metrogel always makes me really irritated...LOL

Ha thanks for the input. If its not clearing up by tomorrow Im going back to the dr. They could have misdiagnosed the yeast infection... thanks again.
