Is it true that if you know you have aids early that it can be treated and cured with medication?

AIDS and HIV can be treated, but there is NO cure. Meds can make the viral load in th blood undetectable on a viral load test, but an antibody test would still be positive.

He is right but call the criss hotline for HIV in your state. they were great. IANd the current trails are doing drugs initially before 12 weeks and then hoping you hit it prior to reservoirs of virus forming and maybe just maybe not showing up down the road. it shows a lot of promise. Call them. they made me feel alot better. Is it possible you picked up another infection. A lot of infections have the same symptoms. Don't get as stressed as me. It is not good for the health!!!

Actually, facts show that if you have engaged in intercourse or sustained a needle stick, or had any other type of exposure if you are seen in the ER and begin treatment within a few hours of the incident you can prevent chances of becoming positive. I'm not sure of the time frame because upon exposure the virus is multiplying at a constant rate. I believe it's less then 6 hours.
