Hello,
Well today, something that could *possibly* transmit HIV happened to me. I was sittin down, and what do I feel, kid next to me has stuck me with a safety pin. It broke the skin, and before he got me, he got another kid. The needle *looked* clean, but who knows. I am not very worried, but just for my reference, what are some warning signs to look for? Thanks!

You are wasting your time looking for warning signs because you will not get hiv because a kid stuck you with a "saftey pin." let this go and don't give it another thought.

You should never disregard something of the sort. Though the chances aren't likely it could happen. If one has symptoms they could vary. I would just recommend getting tested as necessary, but without worrying about it. I worked in a hospital and was stuck with a dirty needle and I am fine. The percentage of getting it like that are low, so your's would be lower. I know you said it broke the skin, but it would have to get in your blood stream and it would have to be quite a bit of the virus on the needle to actually infect you.
