I have read on the internet that getting hiv from oral sex is rare. My question is does brushing your teeth or washing your mouth out after giving oral sex to a female lower your chances of getting the disease? Thanks to all that post.

Sorry no one has answered your post. Oral sex is a very low risk for the getting, a little higher for the person giving. Having said that, it still poses a risk. I don't really know if there is an answer to your question regarding brushing your teeth afterwards and rinsing out your mouth. Thearetically, if you brush your teeth before and your gums bleed, it would provide an entrance for the virus. But even that is up for debate. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Having said that, anyone who is sexually active should get tested at least once a year unless they are in a securely monogomous relationship. Do you know the status of the other person?
