A swollen gland can mean a lot of things. Mainly stress!!! Chances are if you are were infected you wouldn't be having symptoms this soon. Try to relax and get a baseline test...then do a 3 mon and 6 mon check.

Thanks A LOT for your answer.
but this swollen gland was not the only thing that I have had within 8weeks.I had also some very little red points on the three fingers of my right hand and those little red points were coming and going but then they passed in the third week.Btw after having one swollen gland behind my left ear, I got the cold but I didn't have neither fever nor night sweats. Now the only thing concerns me is the little swollen gland(bean shaped).
Now I'm waiting for the day that I'm gonna get tested(around june 10-15). I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks again and again.

Hi Stressed,
A single swollen gland behind your ear is nothing to be concerned about. Glands can up and down on their own with no apparent reason. Also, if you touch them alot they will swell and can remain for some time. People on this and other forums have reported swollen glands and later found out via their test results that they were hiv -ve. Also, the stress that you are under may very well be the cause of the gland swollen. Take your test at 91 days past possible exposure. If it is -ve, then you are hiv -ve and that's all there is too it.
Good Luck,
Saltysam

I know you are worrying a lot right now. Please remember that your type of possible exposure puts you at very low risk. I've been in your situation before, but I had all the symptoms. I had night sweats, swollen glands, always felt sick to my stomach and had diarrhea. That was all from stress. I had sex with an HIV+ person with protection, but still told myself I had to be +. It's all psychological. When you have severe symptoms then be concerned. Right now, you have no reason to worry. Take care and I'll be here if you need to talk.

See here is someone who slept with a + perosn and is negative, not to mention the various other women who have had UNprotected sex with + ppl and are still negative. THis disease is not that easily contracted. Im not encouraging you to play russian roulette or anyhting but try and relaz. Most likely you are -ve too
