At what age can you start to let your child sleep with a small pillow and/or light blanket?

I don't know, but when I find out, we're doing it. My son is 10.5 months and no where near being able to sleep without the sleep-sack. I have never known such a busy sleeper.

My DD is 13 months old but as soon as she grew out of her blanket sleepers which was about at 8 months, she started using a blanket. Half of the time she kicks them off or rolls out from under it but I usually just cover her back up. She has never used a pillow but uses a blanket on a nightly basis. She does fine with it because she sleeps like a rock and barely moves all night long. :D

My daughter couldn't use the sleep sacks - she would get herself all rolled up in them and freak in the middle of the night, so I opted for a small light blanket when she was probably four months old. She was old enough to kick it off of her and didn't move around much at the time. She still sleeps with a light blanket at almost 16 months but most nights it's kicked off and at the end of the crib. I haven't done the pillow yet because she is never in one place in her crib long enough to use it.

I have always used a light blanket for my son, since the day we brought him home! He's 17 months now and I havnt given him a pillow yet.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. My son has used a light blanket since he was born, and I put a blanket on him every night now. Sometimes a little heavier since its cold in my house at night... He doesn't use a pillow, but when he was really small, I would basically roll him in the blanket and leave his arms out, that way he was mostly covered. And now I just put it on him, and he never has it on when he wakes up, unless I put it back on in the middle of the night!!
