Hello again. My 13 month old son has an underbite. He has 7.5 teeth so far. Top 4 and bottom 3 plus #4 is almost out. I noticed when he is babbling to himself that his lower set of teeth line up infront of his upper teeth, like a bulldog!!! Is this normal?!? I am really freaked out. I have seen humans with overbites but never underbites before. I am hoping that this is the way their teeth/jaw is set up at first for nursing but will change with time.
Does anyone else have a little one with an underbite???

My 16 month old looks like he has an overbite. Someone told me that its because their jaws are not fully develloped yet...?

See and overbite wouldn't bother me as much because SO MANY people have them and get braces and presto beautiful teeth. But I have never seen/heard of an UNDERBITE on people. Like I said I have seen it on bulldogs!!!

I actually knew someone who had an underbite and got some sort of special retainer to correct it. If you are concerned talk to your dentist the next time you are there. Also when his baby teeth fall out it could correct itself.

my 17 month old dd has a little bit of an underbite too. i was very concerned as well but i think as she said maybe it'll eventually correct itself? after her baby teeth fall out maybe? i know its scary, when the babys in the womb you think of a million different things that might be wrong but you never think that the teeth alignment would be an issue. lets just prepare ourselves now in about 10 years we'll have huge payments to the orthadontist! aha better start saving! good luck to you~

my daughter has an underbite, too. I'm hoping it corrects itself or that braces will...
