does the bladder heal itself? I had a cystoscopy and they said my bladder was inflammed and needed time to heal and gave me antibiotics and detrol LA so is the baldder gonna just heal itself?

I had a cystoscopy and my doc told me that my bladder was also inflammed but they said that I had Interstitial Cystitis a disease that has no cure! They treat it with Elmiron but I was told that I'd be on it for the rest of my life. I wish my bladder would heal itself!
