The National Pain Care Policy Act of 2007, HR 2994 has been in the House of Representatives gaining more and more support since July 2007. This bill has now been introduced in the Senate thanks to the efforts of Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT). You may recognize senator Hatch's name as the same that passed the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1999, creating our current system of generic drugs.
With this important bill now in both houses of Congress it is important that your state Senators hear from you. If you feel it is appropriate, please contact senators in your state and ask them to support this important bill. Pain patients in this country are @ risk of losing access to affordable pain regimens.
You will soon be able to locate and read the bill @ the Government's official website, http://thomas.loc.gov/.
