I'm trying to find information about training/being paired with a service dog to help me with my narcolepsy. Does anyone have any information on this? I live in Massachusetts, so ideally I'd like to find a trainer in that area, but I've been calling around and no one seems to have much information on the matter. I'm pretty much in the dark about all this (how to find a trainer, how to pick the dog, etc), so any information would be greatly appreciated!

I was wondering the same thing. I currently have a lab that is about 3 years old and he is extremely smart. We have an incredible bond and I think I could train him to assist me with my narcolepsy if I only knew where to start.
I was jus diagnosed with Narcolepsy about two weeks ago so it is not nearly as bad as some people have it. I do however think that having my dog accompany me in day to day life will help me stay awake, especially in school.
Hopefully somewhere out there has some information for me and for the other poster. Or maybe even if there is someone out there to tell me that they think this is a bad idea. I don't know just looking for some advice! Thanks!
