I recently joined the boards after a scare with HSV, and you guys have been pretty helpful so far. I was wondering if you might help with a (Probably) basic question...

I have read of the symptoms describing "Tingling/Pain". This morning during a meeting at work, I experienced tingling similar to your foot falling asleep. It ranged from lower back, inner legs, to my feet and shoulders. It wasn't extreme, and I may have just had too much cafene today, but I was wondering if this sounded familiar to any of you, or if you could provide any insight. The tingling was rather mild in comparison to a circulation issue. Do the tingling symptoms of HSV spread beyond the genital area, lower back and upper legs?

Also, around the same time, I had a strange throbbing pain in the genital region. It has already gone away.. Could this have been a result of having sat through the two hour meeting? (I have back issues and causes some pains in odd places)

I'm probably also just being hypersensitive to any possible symptoms.

And by the way, I really appreciate everyone being so friendly and helpful on here. I've been quite impressed just reading through other posts.

what I've been told is the tingle is painless, the nerve ache comes and then the blister errupts along with possible headache for type 1 and pain in the nerve endings like the buttocks area and leg for a couple of painfuls day for type 2. Then the itch comes from the sores drying up. very painful for some and not so bad for other cases. The first outbreak is supposed to be the worst.
