Hey M1, ive been reading your posts for a while and it looks like were going through the same thing. i had unprotected sex about 80 days ago now (Hah, never thought I would say something like that!) and about 2 weeks later had a bunch of wierd pains in my stomach that turned to nausea off and on and sort of centered around my left side. Then my lymphnodes got tender and have been so now for about 2months along with my upset stomach and wierd circular pale spot on each cheek of my face. Your stomach pain last as long as mine (its still there 2.5 months later!)

M1,

I was really happy to hear about your repeated negative tests!!!. Now, lets try to focus on the unknown. I sweat after drinking too. Its what i like to call the booze ooze. I agree with you that something is a little off in your body's physiology. Have you had a CBC blood differential to rule out stuff like cancer, leukemia, and all that other stuff? SOME of your symptoms sound alot like chronic anxiety to me. Who knows, you could have irritable bowel with the loose stools, or chronic fatigue. Chronic fatigue can present with weak immune stuff too. I have been following your story the past couple of months and i really believe you will get better man. You are on the right track eliminating all these diseases and are on the path to cracking this little mystery of yours. Really important bro, go see an experienced medical doctor. We are good for support but if you feel crappy all the time, tell the docs. They will eventually figure it out. Its clear though that your legitimate tests prove you are NEGATIVE!!!!! WOO HOO bro!. Check up on the chronic fatigue/anxiety stuff.

Peace

M1,

just to correct myself, take a 3 month HIV test just to be sure. Thats the benchmark. Your results are incredibly encouraging.

Take care

Can 20 days make a really big difference in test results?? I asked the nurse she said almost all people test positive the first two months.

As for the night sweats I never had them when I had a couple drinks before.

Rusty Are you experiencing any night sweats?

I would like to go to profesional MD but I'm a full time college student and I only work part-time so I'm tight on $$.

Could it be possible i could have mono or syphilis??

maybe helpful

Ok, a few things. I have been keeping up with your posts, and hope I can help you. First of all CONGRATS on your two negative tests! That is good news. Chances are very slim that something will show up in the next 20 days that hasnt shown up already. This is how it works: When your body is exposed to a virus, ANY virus, it begins attacking it by producing antibodies. In HIV, the test you take looks for the antibodies your body is producing to fight it off. After as long as 10 years, HIV wins, leaving your body open to AIDS and other diseaes. VERY FEW people will take longer then the 3 months, or even the 6 months to test positive, and usually it is when they already have weak immune systems, and I dont just mean a cold, I mean REALLY weak systems, and health workers who are exposed to Hep C at the same time, because their body attacks the Hep C first, leaving HIV undetected for a while. DONT BE ALARMED!! Hep C is VERY rarely contacted through sexual contact, and some even speculate it can not be caught through sex at all- so forget about it!.

yNow, for your symptoms. Its not MONO, wich causes UPPER left abdominal pain, and a VERY sore throat and EXTREME fatige, and doesnt appear for 4-6 weeks after exposure. It isnt syphlis, or any other STD. Most cause sores in and around the genital area, and appear fairly quickly, within a month, of exposure. And since you have been on the look out, Im SURE you would have noticed something like that. But, you syptoms DO sound ALOT like stress! Stress can reak havoc on your body LONG after you are relieved. Also, if you cant afford a medical work-up, play medical detective. Consider ALL the things around you. Could the weather be warmer, causing you to sweat more than you used to. Humidity levels? Consider the foods your eating, or the time of day. Consider the alcohol content, wether or not you were tired that day. How about the way you are sleeping. Sleeping to much? or to little? ALL of these things can contribute to how you are feeling. So look at EVERYTHING around you first. Then, if your still not convinced, save some $$, call a Dr. work out a payment schedule, and get a work up. Or, wait the 20 days, take another test and WHEN, (not if) it turns out negative, go forth a LIVE your Life! (LOL). Hope that helps. Good Luck, and be safe.

Hey M1, no night sweats really to speak of here. I did for a couple of weeks have intermitent hot flushing feeling with little bumps that would appear on my cheeks. Chills occasionally during that period as well. I took the home access test at 83 days this saturday. Im just counting the days till friday and hoping for the best.
