Hey I've got a little problem that I hope someone can clear up!
So I've been taking the "Hoodia 10 Day Diet" pills in combination with exercise and a good diet. I've lost about 3 pounds in a week so far. I bought more of the pills cause I was liking the results but today the pills started making me feel very bad like chest pain and stuff and I feel like it might be unhealthy for me to keep taking them. I've read that people who stopped taking Hoodia gained their weight back. Is this just because they picked back up their old eating habits? If I continue to eat well and exercise will stopping these pills have any effect? I don't want to gain this weight back but I really don't feel safe taking these anymore. Thanks to anyone who can help :)

I can almost guarantee you that you didn't lose weight because of the Hoodia...you lost weight because you lowered your calorie intake. There is nothing in Hoodia , in my opinion, except empty promises. I guess the bottom line is what they all say: eat less, exercise more. I've come to that conclusion.

None of those pills are good for you. In fact, I would think they have the potental to even be dangerous.
The way to do it is exactly what you did: change your diet and exercise. If you do that, you will lose weight :) I guarantee!

I agree with the others. Pills won't help. The "magic" Formula is what your mother probably told you - calories in/calories out. However, different types of food plans work better for different people. I'm thinking about one of the low carb diets. They seem to work for quite a lot of people.
Good Luck,

Hello,
I'm new to this group. I agree that pills are not safe unless they are herbal or natural and simply a concentrated form of what we should be eating. If they are not, then they are not properly assimilated into the body, and can have serious side effects.
Good nutrition and cellular nutrition takes care of any health issue. I've found something that works really well for me that's natural and safe and delicious!! It's called Shapeworks from Herbalife.
All the best to you!!

These hoodia pills shouldn't be dangerous since hoodia is from a cactus and they also have green tea in them, which is natural. I would DEFINITELY stop taking them if you are feeling chest pains! Are you taking 3 at a time like the instructions say? When I tried them, I found that this was WAY too much for me. I would guess that you are feeling these pains from all the caffeine in these pills. They do seem to give a lot of energy! I would feel nauseous if I took 2 or 3 at a time, since I wasn't used to all of that caffeine.
You shouldn't gain back the weight since you have a good routine going with exercise/eating. I don't think ANY pills are good for long term use anyway since you have to rely on them. I'd just give them up and continue with your healthy habits you have and you should be able to lose weight just fine! I tried the pills just to quick start my weight loss and stopped and didn't gain it back until way later on (at least a year later) when I went on antidepressants. Now I've lost the weight from those (went off of them) and then some.
