If i have been dx with genital herpes as it is below my waist, how can i transmit this infection, when i do not have visual signs of the herpes rash. Can i always be infectious even through salivia,and vaginal secretion as well ,my herpes was found on my butocks,first outbreak.

I Was Diagnosed On 4/21/08 And Yes You Are Contagious All The Time As For This Disease Sheds And Replicates All The Time Even When You Have No Symptoms. I Am On Daily Suppression Of Valtrex I Take A Pill Everyday And Take Lysine Vitamins. Do Some Research On Herpes There Is Alot You Need To Know.

May, I don't think saliva can give it to you unless you've just had oral sex with an infected person, then yes. contagious on lips yes also. the blisters have a very contagious liquid in them. even the scabs are contagious. and also the shedd is . The problem with women is that we can't see inside like the men can easily see. you can have these on the rectum too. it lies dormant and comes out when we are run down, stressed and intense heat like the sun can bring them out. this is spread from the mucus membranes through a break in the skin
