View Full Version : I am so happy!

I called for my test results and...Negative! I am so very happy. All I can say to any of you who are wondering whether you have been exposed or not, to just take the test. Really. I cannot stress this enough. This is coming from someone who had to find the strength first to get tested and then call for the results. I have had many "symptoms" over the last few years...sore throat, recurring rashes, swollen glands, extreme lethargy, cysts under my arm....The list goes on. I had associated them all with HIV because I thought how could I be in my mid-twenties and feel like this every day and have health problems like this. I was also having unprotected sex with my boyfriend at the time, and on occasion a couple of his co-workers would "joke" around and say for me to watch out because he has HIV due to all the girls he's been with. My life was a whirlwind. I had many reasons to suspect that I was positive. How could I not? So, for any of you who have "symptoms" or remember possible exposures, please get tested. Every day is too precious to have worry consume your time. Be responsible and get tested.

Congrat, great news.
It really helps when you hear people who were actually in risky situations have negative results.
My risk, if it can be called a risk, was the insertive partner in oral sex. In all likelihood, the other person was negative. I've been told even if she was positive I don't really have a reason to worry. I hope this is true.

Hi. To that dddd person....for God's sake! Don't worry about that! You are fine! Saliva actually helps KILL the HIV virus anyway! Forget about it! If there was ANY risk in that situation, we'd ALL be HIV+!

Relax, sit back...and enjoy.
